Azerbaijan is a Muslim country that is not open to the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians may not worship openly and have been harassed and arrested for meeting in house churches. However, because of the rich oil reserves, Azerbaijan hosts petroleum employees from all over the world, opening the door for western Christians to enter the country. Although they may not be able to openly proclaim the Gospel, they have ample opportunity to show the love of Christ to those around them and to build relationships with the Azerbaijani people.

	Pray for Christians working in Azerbaijan to make the most of their opportunity to tell the precious people in this nation about Jesus Christ and to live a lifestyle that reflects Him.
	Pray for the native Church to grow and become strong.
	Pray for the leaders to use the wealth from the oil industry to benefit their people, especially in providing clean water and sanitation systems.
	Pray for leading Muslims to be saved.

Dear LORD God, nothing is too hard for You. Invade this land by Your Spirit. Send dreams and visions to reveal Yourself to the Muslim people. Cause Your Church to grow and become strong, giving glory to Jesus. Give Christian Believers wisdom and discernment. Encourage and protect them as they live for you each day. Amen.
